Professional background
Susie is a psychodynamic psychotherapist registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP). She underwent a rigorous five-year clinical training at both the WPF and BPF.
Susie supports people coping with a range of concerns and struggles, including difficulties in connecting and relating to others, experiences of loss, parenting, anxiety, and depression. Recognising that personal challenges are experienced uniquely by each of us, she provides a confidential space for you to bring whatever is on your mind and whatever emotions you may be navigating.
There is no right or wrong personal issue to bring to therapy. It is not always clear why we feel the way we do, or why we keep repeating patterns of relating to others that leave us feeling frustrated, lonely, or confused.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a form of talking therapy that focuses on the unconscious processes that drive our behaviour and impact our connections with others. Sometimes, we find ourselves repeating patterns or experiencing feelings we cannot quite explain, even when they leave us feeling hurt or stuck. Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers a way to explore these hidden parts of our inner world, helping us understand the “why” behind our struggles so we can begin to find a different way forward.
Susie’s approach is built on connection. The work is collaborative, with both of you looking together to make sense of your experiences, ensuring you always feel heard and supported.
Some of the concerns she has consulted on include:
Difficulties relating to others
Anxiety
Depression
Loss
Bereavement
Parenting
Transitions through life stages
Unresolved childhood trauma
Bullying
Low self-esteem
Stress
Loneliness
Feeling different
In addition, Susie has spent more than a decade teaching Pilates and continues to have a keen interest in the connection between mind and body. At times, unspoken or unresolved experiences such as loss or deep-seated anxiety may find expression through physical symptoms. Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers the opportunity to explore these unconscious processes and bring them into conscious awareness for lasting change.
It is not uncommon to feel uncertain about what is troubling you. Please feel free to get in touch by email, or I offer an initial 15-minute free call if you have any questions or would like to see if working together feels right for you.
I work predominantly in person, with online sessions also available. I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy in Central London, Wimbledon, and Esher.

I highly recommend Stephanie! She is absolutely charming, professional, and very knowledgeable. Initially, I was struggling with lower back pain during the night, which was affecting the quality of my sleep. However, since starting my appointments here, my sleep quality has improved significantly, and I find myself waking up much less frequently in the middle of the night. The clinic is conveniently located close to Wimbledon station, making it easy to find. It's lovely, clean and tidy clinic!Posted on Google![]()

I have seen Stephanie for a couple of issues now. The first was around a year ago, for headaches and insomnia. Within just one session with her both issues were resolved. The latest occasion was for a variety of symptoms that had arisen from contracting covid a few months ago. I had really bad fatigue, brain fog, clogged ears, blurred vision. I was in a terrible way at my first appointment with her. After my second appointment, I felt remarkably better and after my third, all the above symptoms had disappeared. She is a miracle worker! Would highly recommend her amazing servicesPosted on Google![]()

I have been seeing Stephanie for Perrin technique sessions for nearly a year and my condition has improved significantly in that time - I contribute a huge part of that to Stephanies skill as a practitioner. She’s enormously knowledgeable and has fantastic personal skills to put you at ease in her sessions. She tailors sessions well to my condition and has offered great advice along my treatment path. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone interested in pursuing osteopathic treatment.Posted on Google![]()

I was so impressed at Stephanie's treatment of our 9 week old after we'd had a tongue tie division. She was so gentle, took the time to ensure we were both at ease and the difference was noticeable. I cannot recommend her highly enough.Posted on Google![]()
